The Setting

    A large army of the Tau Empire has been attempting to scour the worlds of a system, known to the human Imperium as the Ragna System, of those resistant to the Tau cause.  The system was briefly colonized by the Imperium before most of it fell to traitor Chaos Space Marines which the colonist were entirely unprepared for.  Now the Tau have decided that this system and its resources will be their newest conquest and have focused on a valuable, though small, planet called Melx.  Melx has only recently been defiled with the Chaos Space Marine prescence, and is not properly defended.  The large Tau army expects to quickly seize the planet, but a certain division of the army, a detachment from the Bork'an Sept, has been charged with a special mission.  There is a Daemon Prince known to be leading some of the Chaos Space Marines, and his prescence is expected to complicate the Tau's plans of conquest. They have deemed he should be removed from the conflict before they sweep over the planet, and this task has fallen to the Bork'an Commander.  He is to infiltrate and reach the Daemon Prince's warband and eliminate the monstrosity and/or as many of his retinue as possible as they roam the planet slaughtering the native human and ork population.  As the planet is not fully held by the Traitor Marines, reaching the Daemon Prince will not be difficult, but the size of the Commander's force is kept small to make sure the rest of the forces of Chaos on the planet remain unaware of the approaching Tau fleet.  The Bork'an Tau will have to rely on their own skill and teamwork in order to annihilate the Daemon Prince and his forces.

    Having crippled the Chaos warband, leaving them leaderless and without transport, the Tau quickly extricate themselves back to the main body of the Tau fleet.  With their primary obstacle removed, the Tau army quickly moves in to sweep over the planet where most of the humans greet them as saviors, and the greenskins retreat to the wilds.  The Bork'an Commander and his cadre are charged with securing the area frequented by the late Daemon Prince (not dead, of course, but banished back to the Warp for now) and his warband.
